As noted in recent posts the chicks are growing and stretching their wings in the nest. The two photos below show an adult hawk (I believe this is the female) taking off from a tree top where you can see her underwing. The second photo shows one of the chicks stretching a wing in a similar fashion. Go back to the blog post on June 22, to see how much the chicks have grown and their wing development in 11 days.
